Man On 4th Street With My Canon 50-250mm Lens

I spent one more day forcing myself to carry around my Canon 55-250mm lens on my Rebel SL3. I saw this guy standing by a pole. At first he was looking down, but a few moments later he looked up and I got a good profile. I’m going to switch back to my 50mm lens for a few days because I’m starting to really notice the limitations of a lens that isn’t a prime lens.

Zoom Lenses Are Good For Some Things

Don’t get me wrong, zoom lenses are good certain situations, like when you know you’re not going to be able to get close enough to the subject. However, as many professional photographers will tell you, they often have limitations with the diameter of the aperture, which limits how much light gets into the lens.

Anyways, let me know what you think of the photos or in the comments. I try to get a few good photos a week with whatever I have on me. I’d love to figure out how to make a little money doing this photography stuff, but I also like just taking photos of interesting people around the city, too. I’m looking for people to take portraits of around the Louisville area, for cheap, or for free if they are willing to walk around for a while so I can get some practice working with clients. Then I’ll see about how much I should start charging for this kind of stuff.
